Caroline – CX, Road & TT

carolineMy name is Caroline Stewart, I’m a British Cycling qualified CX, Road and TT coach. I’ve been coaching in sport for over 20 years, including taking individual athletes and a team to multiple success at international level, including a full podium sweep. I have been cycling since the mid 80s and love the sport in all of its forms. I have spent a lot of time in the last 2 years working particularly with novice female racers as the growth of the women’s sport is obviously very close to my heart.


I am also a fully qualified cycle mechanic (and have taught the level 2 & 3 qualification), I spend most weekends “in season” as race mechanic, and acting DS when required, for the Matrix Fitness women’s race team. I am able to support riders with coaching, motivation and material & technical assistance up to and including the provision of a team car.

As an ex-serving member of the Royal Navy, I race cyclo-cross for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Cycling Association.

With over 30 years’ experience of cycling at competitive level in Road and TT, club, sportive and International events I have a passion and enthusiasm for my sport. With enthusiasm, drive and motivation I am here to smooth the progress of your development.

Recently moved to the Italian Lakes I am well versed with coaching at distance and have coached athletes of all abilities across the globe for a number of years from Novice to Intermediate to Elite and race teams as a whole. I am a British Cycling and Training Peaks Qualified coach who is well versed with training with power and have an aptitude for data analysis helping you to achieve your goals and targets.

I’ve been a full time personal trainer since completing my Sports Science Bsc in 2004. Since then I’ve worked in some of the best gyms, physiotherapy clinics, Pilates studios and private residence gyms in New York, Auckland, Melbourne and London. I’ve also lectured in pain management and healthy lifestyle management and coached/up-skilled personal trainers in some of the most exclusive hotels and private residences in London, including The Dorchester Hotel, One Kensington Gardens and One Hyde Park.

I’m a qualified mat and reformer bed Pilates instructor, I have a degree in sports science, a diploma in personal training and advanced expert qualifications in personal training, corrective exercise and exercise rehabilitation amongst others.
